Hong Kong lacks non-commercial art events. So when Kat Roma Greer stepped up and initiated the street art event Micro Galleries (under the umbrella of Hong Kong’s largest public arts festival, VeryHK) we were more than happy to help out with the overall branding and collaterals. Not just that, we were invited to be involved with an art installation and got to hide a few sneaky little paste-ups around Wan Chai.

Reclaiming disused and forgotten spaces within the community, Micro Galleries embodies the idea that art does not need to be locked away in pristine galleries; it can permeate the streets and change the way we see the world – intellectually and physically… evenfor a micro-moment.
Featuring artists from around the world, Micro Galleries sneaks up on you from lane ways, scraps of for- gotten land and potholes. Wander about, discover new works and don’t be surprised if they’ve dis- appeared, moved, or been changed by passers by. Be curious, look twice, crouch down, stand on your tip-toes, squint, get up close, and peep into the cracks and crevices of the streets looking for new ideas, new perspectives and how artists can change the world…in small and creative ways.
